Parts of Speech - Pronouns
The word for which the pronounA pronoun is a word that replaces a noun or a group of words used as a noun.
Source: Lesson 21 stands is called its antecedent. It may be in the same sentence, in a previous sentence, or not given at all.
Example:
The boy threw the football. He threw it over the fence.
